| Thanks. I think its Cordavan Red, the interior is the same. I have a maroon dash pad from a Granada - recovered Recaro seats - per the pic. The vinyl top I re-sprayed with an off the shelf Maroonish color - that is also close. | |

| I used to have one ( The "MexiMont...Fairmont built in Mexico and imported north by original owner) 302, t5, ac, the works when I was done with it. Just after i finished it though, it got totaled in 2004 by some kid who pulled out in front of me at a rainy intersection. ( the usual story in my San Antonio...no license, insurance or green card, wasn't his truck...) Have been wanting another, but have yet to find one as nice or worth fixing up. the search continues. Enjoy your ride! I miss mine almost every day. Do have a strong lead on a coupe. Can HAVE it if I want it...still rather have another boxtop sedan. | |

| The dual bonnet is from Spectre and was bought locally from the Advance Auto chain. Kinda pricey, the dual as you see it was $150. But it does allow for creatvity. I have since sold the dual bonnet and went with a single inlet so I could reinstall my strut brace. I will post a pic later. No unfortunetley its not an ESS model - but thanks for the compliment! | |

| btw, if its just a 302, why do you need the bonnet? just trying to be different? or do you have a big carb spacer and you cant fit under the hood. | |

| Beautiful looking fairmont, and engine! That 7.5 will not last long behind that, i have a stock non-HO '86 302 and it broke the 7.5 my second time at the track. I was on street tires and everything not even good ones lol | |

| My 7.5" has been bulletproof thus far. A full season of autocrossing, 4 years of street mayhem, 3 track days, and 2 transmissions - its been as sturdy as the 5.0!. I run Amsoil Severe Duty synthetic gear lube. I guess the difference is I don't drag race. I have an '88 T-Bird T/C 8.8 ready for a re-build once old faithful gives up. I do notice now the factory (Auborn) trac-loc is overwhelmed...
The bonnet is to draw cooler air...

The bonnet is to draw cooler air... Thats pretty damn good! My dad never broke his back in the day, and he never drag raced so it could be i just overwhelmed it. I've got a T/C rear end going in my car too
