damp conditions in trunk

Greetings everyone,
Really enjoying myself, was on the first forum before. This is my second time around the futura one was a 1980 with a 6 and a 4 sp.
never got to do much with that one exceptget tickets. Well got a 1982 to work with this time around, picked up for free almost 6 years ago. Just had to bring a battery and tires to get it home. Anyway I remember water in the trunk of the 80 and now I see signs of the the same thing in the 82. Just cannot have that this time,lots of remote stereo equipmnet back there now. Any suggestions,I have changed the seal several times with no luck. Thanks.

Mine was leaking in around the tail light panel.
Fixed it with black silicone.
Wash the car, open trunk, where does the water puddle?

hey there, I really catch it before I get to the puddle stage. Mine seems to be between the hinges below the back window. Thought maybe the window, so I pulled it and did an over kill resealing. I semm to notice it right at the trunk's rubber seal. Sure wish I could get it to stop. I do have those gas struts to keep from bashing my head because I pulled the those rods to place a subwoofer enclosure in the trunk.

Could be pin holes under the seal. Remove seal and check with a flashlight, or flood channel only.
Could be coming in from the rear, side windows. Run water over them and see if it leaks.
My car was rust free except for some pinholes in the corner.
I took out the area and replaced it with new metal.
It looked like this after expanding the holes. The next page shows the repair.

Lo and behold that it is little tiny holes in the drip tray under the window.Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Will work on that right away, before we get more rain out here.
