check out what i finally finished rigging up the other day!
opens itself and holds it open higher then the old tortion bars. it started after i had to take the bars out to fit in the new speakers because of the giant magnets on them. they went about an inch past where the bars previously went across.

Very slick. You got your window trim piece, right?

Cool, My speakers are way to big too. But I left it all slone and it still works ok...little rubbing.

Man, that's pretty trick. Are those off any particular model or the universal style you get from the parts store? A darn fine idea.

I'd love to see how this is done. My torsion bar doesn't want to stay in and almost hit me in the face one day, so this is a great alternative. Please do a write up!!

This is the kind of modifications i like to see being done to the old Fairmonts. Well done.
