gotta GREAT deal on some tires today. i got 4 brand new michelin pilots p225/50/ZR16 tires for 60 bones. we are clearing out all slow moving stock, and ordering our tires directly from ford or a local supplier. im getting some p205/60 15 michelin energy tires for the camry tomarrow. we are giving the staff first choice which is unusual? i like my p215 BFG Traction T/A tires, they dont even have 2k miles and are perfect, but i'm looking foreward to putting these michelins on and seeing how much difference there is. i might even go out and do some work on it as i am supposed to entering it into a car show in tucson, it's booked in for the comedy/crap/wtf section. who knows, maybe i can sell the tires and they may take the car away for me.
im kinda still looking for these 2 cougars, but so far no luck, or maybe they are in a barn or garage, or else they are gone.....

actaully i put them on 05 mustang v-6 wheels last night, there were a bitch to mount, as they are 50 series, i had isuues getting them to seat properly on the rims when being aired-up, it's almost they are too tight. i did a RFV on each tire, the highest was 17lb, which is cool, the highest weight used was a .75 oz weight.
there is some difference in hieght between the 215/65/16, the 50 seires dont seem to flex at all around corners, but the ride is definitly firmer. i'll see how they go with the speedo.
i had tried the 17's off an 06 mustang, but lost a lot of steering angle at low speeds like when parking, and in the rear, they would rub on the body when making hard corners, i think the tires would have been cool, just needed different offset wheels.
i just like to experiment with different things................
