I can't get air to blow though my vents!! Instead it goes through the defrost vents. I replaced the HVAC controls with a spare one I had and that wasn't the problem. The A/C compressor kicks on and so does the vent and heater. Could it be possible that I have a vacuum leak some where? I have no clue when it comes this stuff so any help would be appreciated and with the 100+ degree days upon us here in Tucson having no A/C is no fun at all.

check the source vacuum at the control head, if you have lost vacuum, the system will default to defrost.
there should be a vacuum tree on the pass rear side of the eng compartment. there should be a line that goes into check valve to the fender area to a vacuum resevoir, from there it goes to the control head.
what a bitch, i'm at the Wyndham Conoa this weekend. and it's winnnndy.

Well this afternoon, once it cooled off some, I went out and messed with it some. I think I got it working, for now. I pulled the vacuum line that goes to the thing that controls the little door that it right below the glove box (that the best I can describe it lol) . Then I put it back on and now it seems to be working okay. So who knows...but tomorrow morning I'll go out and recheck everything and make sure everything is hooked up okay.

I don't know if this will help you out or not.
I have posted the vacuum line diagram for the A/C on my web site.
I have also included the flow diagrams for the A/C and heater controls.
You can click here to get to that page. A/C STUFF

Feel free to look around at the rest of the pages.
