| be careful, dont buy a lot of stuff you cant unload, thats the problem i have been experiencing lately, basically, dont buy more than you can afford to lose.
i have been scrapping cars out for a while now, people just dont want to part with thier readies unless neccesary. i had to give some "ggrreeaatt" deals on some really good stuf just to get rid of it. i know things will change, but you just get tired of looking at the stuff after a while. buy as cheap as you can,( preferably in a lot), be sure the seller is aware that some stuff may not work and you will be stuck with the disposal. everybody has a load of crap they have been storing, and think it is worth a lot, but unless they can show you that it all works, "you are going blind". think of it as an investment, sometimes you score, somtimes you bust, but at the end of the day you have to reasonable in your prices to getr rid of it. rememer the fairmont is an exception to the rules so far as a lot of parts go. there is always a market, and a sob story to match, it piissses me off when someone asked me to lower the price on something when they have a tow chain made of gold wrapped around thier neck. sorry to add cheap advice, but i had my ass in bandages more than once. good luck on the purchase!!! | |

| I went through Ebay with every posibale phrase relating to Ford Fairmont Futura ( including Zerphr, LTD, Thunderbird, and County Squire) found a lot of parts, but not what I was looking for. I got a junk yard down in Arizona that has a Futura, waiting to see if he has anything from the list I send him. Your right looking for parts for these cars are next to imposible. But I like my Futura and I'll continue trying to find parts and fix it back to original condition. | |

| i find it absolutely disgusting when you go to the bone yard and see a Fairmont in pristine condition, they only pay scrap price and want rediculous money for the parts before they crush it, thats why i buy my own scrap cars and sell the salvage & destroy anything the junkyard could sell before it goes to the crusher, i sent almost a whole truck load of alloy wheels to the yard & only got $40.00 because they had paint on them???, they are clever as they put them in a bin, if you want them back after they were wieghed, of course you can have them back.....if you want them....some yards are really cool, they cant help you enough, there is a pick & pull in tucson, (70-80 miles away)they got loads of different stuff, you just gotta be quick. good luck! keep searching. | |

| I put a list above, these are what I'm in need of to make the car whole. I'm presently putting in a 8.8 posi 2.78 rear end into it with new shocks, brake lines, brakes, and yoke seal. That's where I'm at right now. If you can send me a price for each of the parts I have listed (if you got them), then we can get together to do some buziness. | |
