Ok ...My first question to you is on the interior. I love what you have done with your car.(like i said before one of my favorites to date) However..I have had so many fox body mustangs I dont wanna feel like i am in one when im driving down the road. My vision of my car is for it to look like a new 79 zephyr that could have come off of the show room floor(with some extras and upgrades of course). I would also like it to have somewhat of a "Muscle Car" feel to it when im sitting in the driver seat. So black vinal, original dash, no console, chrome shift handle.....you get the point. Now that you are in my world....I was wanting to have my GOLD factory buckets redone in black because they fit the era of the car with thier lowback style. After reading that you said they were very uncomfortable im having second thoughts. I will be spending from 1 to 4 hours a day in that driver seat so it must be functional.
I really like the way your mustang seats look with the black vinal. I have some of these on hand. I was thinking about eliminating the head rest. That would make them appear to be shorter...closer to the factory seat height. Where did you buy your vinal kit from and do you reccomend it? Aslo is there gonna be a hole in the top of the seat where the head rest shaft goes into the seat or did you cut that out your self? Let me know your thoughts on this. Any advice and or warnings would be greatly appriciated. I would love to hear from anyone else on their ideas or experiences with their interior upgrades. Thanks Zach

I ordered my seat upholstery from CJPony. It's from a company out of California called TMI. You can pick a from a wide variety of materials and colors. I found it to be pretty easy to work with. The upholstery comes WITHOUT the headrest holes cut, so you're good there! I think they know people tend to put these seats in hot rods and stuff and a lot of those people don't want headrests either.
