I think it will fit fine. I have a 351w with a RPM Air Gap intake and it just about fit under the hood. I probly could have made it fit with the right air cleaner. All I needed to clear was another 3/4" - 1" .

I'm putting a 90' Mustang 302 in my 78 wagon w/an edelbrock performer and a 600 cfm. I set the the hood on it and it seems to clear just fine. I cut the stock crossmember, w/ mustang motor mounts. I also have fox body long tube headers, the only clearence issues so far has been the shift linkage. I'll have to use a floor shift. Should be able to fire it up soon. Later Pat.

It's just marked performer in the casting at the front. I got it with a 82' GT I ran for a while. Then parted the car out, thats where all the engine assesories came from, serpintine, ingnition, radiator, etc. The motor came out of my 90 LX that I put a 347 in. Don't think the wagon will go quite as good , but I'm sure it's going to be fun.

I have an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake under my Fairmont hood. It fits. I put some Play-Doh on the top of the air filter, and there was still some more room. I use the Ford Motorsport open element air cleaner with the finned aluminum lid.
