| Thought it might be fun to post pics of our other cars/cycles/whatever... Here is my daily driver. It is a 2000 Contour SVT. This pic shows the '98 wheels I use for the winter. I love it but man there are some really expensive issues with them. I took this pic at work off the exterior stairs. You can see the salt granules on the ground from the plowers. And here is what WAS my daily driver until gas prices caused me to buy the SVT. It is a 1999 E350 Quigley 4x4. Can't say enough good things about it. Since this photo was taken (in 2004 in Moab, Utah...Canyonlands National Park on the Schafer Trail) I've blacked out the grille, the bumper plastics and have refinished the brush guard. This summer it gets wheel flares and custom tubular runningboards. And just for fun, here is the 1988 Lincoln Town Car with only 18,000 orignal miles I recently sold. It was my father-in-laws. Just before he passed away he sold it to me for $1000. I then dropped $3000 into fixes. Dry rotted tires, dry rotted wiring. But absolutely NO rust. I had it appraised by three companies, one in Chicago that does Rad Rides by Troy's cars. It averaged $12,500 and was given a 9 out of 10 for condition/quality. To get to the 10 I would have had to replace any fasteners that had rusted and that was not going to happen. A collector in California bought it. Sent an enclosed car hauler for it! Don | |

| Here's my Zeph's direct descendant, my '07 Mercury Milan. Here it is next to the Zeph. They're pretty close in length. Interesting comparison of modern proportions to old school. Since buying the Milan, i've dreamed of having them both the same color with similar wheels. I think the Tungsten Grey would look out of place on the Zeph though (plus i really like the silver), so maybe one day i'll have to look for a silver Milan or better yet, '06 Zephyr. | |

| My collection changes every so often, but certain things stay forever. '93 Cobra, teal with gray leather, first brand new car I ever bought. Will likely always have it. '65 Ranchero, with the entire original engine from the '93 Cobra. Car Craft feature car 5/02, parts hauler and occasional long distance reacher. Owned for 10 years. 1964 Falcon Sprint, all original except paint, loaded. Looked for 8 years before finding a nice original car. '60 Comet 2 dr wagon, (extremely rare) owned since Reagan was President but only got around to restoring about two years ago. Original black car, V8 swap to the original 289/C4 from the Ranchero, but bored .040 and with the crank, pistons, and rods from a '70 302 (so it's a 308) '63 Sprint rear end, V8 front suspension and steering from '65 V8 Falcon, Granada disc brakes, slammed on Astro Supremes with pinner whites, lots of other mid '60s period stuff. Lots of fun, and pretty damn quick for what it is. '74 Dodge Monaco Police car - real police special, 440/727/9-1/4 rear, 140 certified speedo, spotlight, cop tires, cop shocks, cop suspension, and it's the model made before the catalytic convertor so it runs good on regular gas. I still need to fix the cigarette lighter, though. And my unassuming daily driver, a '92 5.0/AOD coupe with 145K miles and still runs like new. You can't kill these things. When I get my '80 Futura built to my satisfaction, it will take over daily driver duties and I may give the red Mustang to my father. He loves to borrow it. -Mike S. | |

Thanks Don, The collection changes periodically when something comes up that I can't live without, but it's finally boiling down to a reasonable number of hungry mouths to feed. It's way too easy to get carried away in this hobby. -Mike S. | |

| Agreed. I have the almost unmentionable desire to build two REALLY oddball cars:
A custom Aerostar...I know, an Aerostar...but I have this idea I can't shake and
A Fiat 850 with VW blown power.
Egads!

| Man, that comet wagon is HOT! I would used that as a daily driver if I lived in a decent climate.....Last I checked today, we had at least 10" of snow. | |

| LOve the LSC! I still want one...but then again, I want pretty much every car I come across for some reason or other.
I used to drive an 8N on my grandfather's farm. Seeing yours brings back memories!!
