SO how the Hell does the search function work?

Okay, I'm a relatively intelligent guy , well educated with a Master's degree in Mechanical engineering, married a wife who loves my hobby, 4 kids with two in college and doing well. Had a great Christmas and everyone liked the gifts I got them , or at least pretended to. I can spell. Had good dreams last night, healthy and fun to be around ...or so I tell people.

SO why the Hell won't the search function work for me?

Any help would be appreciated.

Probably the same reason why I can't seem to post more than one pic on here. The aliens did it.

Works OK for me. It's kind of basic, but gives you topic titles with the search word in them. I clicked Search, entered "zephyr" in the field, clicked "go", and it gave me three threads with Zephyr in the title. I tried the advanced search feature, but it didn't find anything else or give me threads with Zephyr in the message body of individual posts, just the thread titles.

OKay, I"m trying to track down a topic thread that talked about using Ranger axles so I'm searching for "Ranger" and gettingnothing so maybe you can't search for body text.

Damn aliens.

Yes! How did you find it or did you just remember?

Well, it was my thread!

But you can also do an advanced search under "search by author" for your own name if you posted in a thread, and a list of threads that you posted in comes up.

you should be able to, i just tested it and it worked fine for me.
