| Love the stock appearance (no hood bulge!) and it sounds like it's pretty fast! | |

| Do you leave the anti-rollbar hooked up while you're street driving the car? | |

Reason I asked, our roads up here can get quite shitty. Especially after the winter months. I was advised by the owner of TeamZ motorsports, that if I plan on doing a lot of street driving(which I do) to make a quick disconnect for one side...ie a pin instead of a bolt, that way I could quickly connect or disconnect the link. He advised to leave it disconnected on the street to avoid bending the links. He told me that he has seen guys drive with them hooked up for years, and no problems. Then he has also see guys leave his shop, and within a couple of miles (bad roads) bend them. My car isn't going to be a daily driver either, but I just don't want to trash a $250 - $300 part.

| Awesome car man! I'm building up my 4 door in almost the same way, just i'm putting in through the floor SFC's and my engine wont be as stout. It will be a stock block 5L(the 351 is coming soon) with ported 351 heads and alittle spray.
I'm in the midst of cutting out and filling my spare tire holder, are the braces under yours for mounting the fuel cell to?

I'm in the midst of cutting out and filling my spare tire holder, are the braces under yours for mounting the fuel cell to? I dont know what your preference for gears are,but i highly recommend 4.10's for the fairmont.I was going to put in 3.73's but im glad that I didnt.the difference is huge!! Now that im going to eventually put in a powerglide,i wont need to change out the gears. You say that your engine wont be as stout.Believe it or not;the cam in my engine came from a stock 1995 mustang,i do have a 200 shot on top of it though. The n.o.s makes up for alot. I would also like to do a 351 swap in the future.I have found a few e series ford vans with the 5.8 l still in them and they go for about 125.00 complete. My plans for the 351 include,my other cam-.565/.574 lift,, a single plane intake and a set of 185 or 205 AFR heads. The reason behind cutting out the spare tire well was to lose weight(those are heavy),my stock gas tank wasnt going to be used anyway.the braces were to help support the weight of the cell, just in case the sheetmetal wasnt thick enough(used to be a honda hood)

| I finally got around to getting th coilovers installed.I didnt get the install photos because it took till 3:00 am to finish.I have carrerra coilover shocks with QA1 130# springs.I need to switch to a softer 110# springs to have a better launch, but it still leaves as straight as an arrow.the install looks really clean. These guys are very professional in their work. What do you guys think? i also cut out the crash bars in the doors.this lost about 20 # out of the car. With the door panels back on,you cant tell any different. Its definitely lighter. | |
