The trim on the bezel around my tail lights is peeling. It looks like the molded plastic has a layer of chromed mylar on it and it is peeling off. Does anyone know of a way to restore this or a place that does it?

Thanks, Don

i've actually had really good luck with using krylon paint on exterior trim (i did the headlight bezels and grill) . just clean it really good (mineral spirits is my cleaner of choice), rough it with a little bit of sanding, clean it again, then just do nice light coats until your satisfied. then just a few light coats of clearcoat after that and your set. good luck with however you try to do it though.

Thanks for the tips. I want to do this trim next spring but want to get the things I need to restore this over the winter.

Keep the ideas coming!

I checked the paint...WOW!!! I will definitely keep this one in mind.

Don

Ya its a little spendy but it will work and its easy to do, I seen them paint a hummer and many other large projects. Now they have spray cans you can buy it makes its so nice.
