Hi guys. My name is Pat. I live in Michigan & currently own an 86 5.0 5spd Merc Capri & a 91 5.0 5spd Mustang. The Mustang will be donating its guts to a 4door boxtop in the very near future. Im in the process of aquiring the fairmont now & im sure i'll have plenty of questions for you guys in the future as i plan on using as much from the Mustang as i can. I've had alot of people laugh at me cuz i want to put it in a 4 door but i think it'll be an awesome sleeper & besides everybody has Mustangs, Fairmonts aren't very common around here anymore. I've also heard that the Fairmonts are lighter which should make for a fast car since the Mustang that the drivetrain currently is in runs mid 13's. Anyway wanted to say hello & introduce myself. I look forward to talking with you guys & any advice i get will be greatly appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hey, welcome home. Sounds like you have a great plan and hope to see some pic's on the project when you get started.
You know I had and still do have the same comments about mine....I just say why not ? Should I build another '57 Chevy or another Chevell....like all the millions that already did....ahhh boring !!!

Awesome! I love Capris. If I didn't have a Fairmont, I'd have a Capri. We'll be here for answers when you need us.

I kinda disagree with you guys. Why can't a guy have both , a mustang and a Zephyr ? Instead of part out a Mustang I put a 347 in it, and used the 302 in my Zephyr wagon. It's taking a longer period of time to have both, but they do different things for me. I live in the North West corner of Wasington state. Lots of mountain roads. So the LX is a back road beast, and lots of fun. The wagon will be my hot rod while I paint the LX. But wouldn't it be KOOL to tow the LX to a track day behind the lowered v/8 powered 78' Zeph ???? Ahhh they are all Fow bodies lets enjoy em' and all get along....lol Later, Patwagon
