Rare Zeph Auction

Check this out. Every once in a while i do an image search for "Mercury Zephyr" just to see what i get (yes, I'm a nerd). Well, this time i ran across this ESO among Edsels and some other oddball cars for sale in an estate auction in DFW. It seems to have happened in March. I wonder what happened to this car. It's pretty rough, but seems to be a real stock ESO. It's only the 3rd other ESO i've run across since i've had mine. One was a Zeph ESO on the old board, the guy never emailed me back, the next was the Fairmont ESO posted in the Links forum here (who never emailed me back either, by the way), and now this one. Pretty cool to find it, anyway.

i thought they all had only 2 headlamps?????

Zephyrs always had the same front end. The difference on an ESO was the blacked out grille. Fairmont ESOs had 2 headlights though.

I thought of something else too. Every other one i've seen has been silver. I'm fairly sure they were offered in other colors though...
