| I've been looking for an aftermarket hood tach with housing. Has anyone seen one? I think it would be a nice muscle car touch for my car.
Thanks, Don | |

| I'm not sure if anyone makes an aftermarket hood tach. Maybe you could make one out of fibreglass and incorporate an Autometer tach or something? | |

| I may have to make my own. I just haven't been able to find a tach the right shape.
I'll post up a pic and maybe someone can help then.

| Much as I hate to suggest putting something from GM on our fine automobiles, Maybe you could find one from a Fire chicken or a GTO | |

| Well, I found an original, unrestored hood tach from a 69 Boss Mustang... $800 so a repop of the original is warranted LOL
As far as I can tell, it looks like it's possible to convert a GM repop to look like the FOrd without too much trouble so I guess I'll end up doing that.
Thanks for the leads..."Classic Industries" has the best price. Hmmm, now I have to hint at it for Father's Day.

| Well, a second original boss hood tach just went for $500 on eBay and it didn't even have any wires coming form it and no mounting hardware!
I'll keep looking, would love to have a Ford version and I'm in no hurry so I can wait.
I'll post when something happens.
