| ok, so over the last year i had been consistently getting about 16-17 mpg. then about mid fall, it started going down to just around 16. And has continued going down until with todays fillup i only got like 13 mpg!!! what could cause such a massive drop in economy? i havent changed anything outside of regular maintenences. by the way, i am running the i6 200. thanks for any help you guys can offer. | |

| maybe ,here something you would also check. your vacum advance to make sure it still working completely. i had one on my 73 ford f350 crew cab truck go bad like that. it started at 15mpg, was down to 8mpg in over 5 tanks of gas. truck ran fine the hole time. after check every thing over(carb/compression/exhaust/timing at idle). put in on a dyno and found vacum advance only had 5 degree. replace it and MPG went back to 15. | |

| i'll check the vacuum advance, plugs, and wires on my next day off. i've been trying to drive it more to try to notice any difference in running, and i noticed that sometimes if i put it under load, then let off the gas, then go back on it, it seems to stumble a bit, more often when cold. | |
