Alright, here's what's on tap for 2015!

-Performance. GT40P heads freshened and machined a little bit for performance. Ford Racing shortie headers for GT40P heads, painted for maximum stock look stealth.

-Lighting. I'm doing the whole interior in LED lights and probably the exterior too, except for the headlights. I'm replacing those with replaceable bulb housings and 9007 halogen bulbs.

-Comfort and Convenience. Power windows and remote locks, remote starter, power antenna, tinted windows

-Appearance. I'm buying a whole crapload of detailing/polishing equipment and supplies to get this dull, faded paint looking as good as it can!

I might buy an aluminum driveshaft too. It would have to be custom made, and therefore not cheap. We'll see. Last year, I went WAY over-budget. That's not an option this year, so some of this might have to wait.

sounds like you have a boat load of tasks to perform!
what is the length of your current driveshaft from center of u/j to center of u/j.

Not so bad when you break it down. The LED stuff is probably a 1 day task at most. The power stuff I'm hoping to get done over the winter... I have all the parts to do that already. My birthday present to myself was the power window kit, haha. I'm going to try to sell off the Mustang power window regulators and motors to try and recoup some of the cost. Oh, I forgot power mirrors. I have those too, haha.

NEXT year will be a big money year. That's when I'll have the engine rebuilt, custom cam, and tune done. I'm also hoping to get new carpet and put A/C back in too.

I should have the chance to measure my driveshaft later today.

I wish I had that much time I could devote to mine, I always have to be in a hurry...
I was taking to a guy one time and he seemed to believe that you can buy a shaft at certain lengths, you just add the u/joints and flange. I'm trying the remember who he is, I dint pay too much attention as he was a NASCAR freak, it does make sense, I don't know if they come balanced or not...
good luck on selling your stuff, every penny helps.

Well, see, we have this thing up here called WINTER, haha. That's when you can take your time and think about what to do next on the car. I used to go spur of the moment with car projects, but I ended up wasting a lot of money that way. That might be just me though, haha. Now I thoroughly research and plan everything.

Make no mistake though. I would not say I have a lot of time for the car. I can squeeze it in on weekends some of the time, but that's about it. Probably why the car is disassembled most of the summer, haha. I'm really hoping I can get the motor put back together early in the year at least though.

Isn't it funny how being a NASCAR fan can tell you so much about a person? hahaha! That would be great though, if you could buy driveshafts like that. Still haven't measured mine yet.

As for me.....
I hope to get it running better and do some improvements.
Like Polish the bumpers
Customize the interior
New tires on the rear
Brighten up the tail lights

My high dollar improvements
Swap out the carb for fuel injection
Recover the newer seats I got from Brad!

I would have to think EFI will certainly make it run better! What are your plans for the interior?

Me, I just got my cheap on and bought some new school car washing stuff: foam gun, high pressure nozzles, 5-gal buckets, wheel brushes, and washing mitt for a fraction of what Autogeek sells them for at Home Depot. I was pleased, haha.

I planned to install the LEDs today, but it's too dang cold. I also found a better natural black 3rd brakelight (INCLUDING HARNESS!)for less money than the other one I bought. If anyone wants my other one, just let me know!

Detailing business? haha, absolutely not. It just occurred to me if I'm going to be spending all this time and money on fixing my paint, I should probably make sure my washing technique won't be undoing all my work. I did some research and found it to be lacking. I've only spent about $30 on washing stuff so far. Maybe one day when I have some free time that isn't all eaten up by car or house projects, I could detail some people's cars...

My old 3rd brakelight is the same, just grey. It's in good shape except one of the tabs you don't see on the bottom is broken off, and it doesn't have the harness/sockets. The sockets will be easy to find though, they are the same as the side marker light ones.

I still have the one from my 93 cougar, I was going to put it in years ago, so maybe now would be a good time, mine is black. I'm wondering how the led's will work as I cant remember which way the bulbs fit, up & down I think.....i'll have to look at it. that car had a nice steering wheel, but I couldn't get the cruise switches to work without pushing way hard.

Yeah, on my Mustang wheel, I have to hold the cruise switches down to get them to work, for whatever reason.

The cheapie eBay LEDs I have, have bulbs on the sides, so I think those will be good for the 3rd brakelight. They're not ideal because they're clear, but I think it'll be okay.

Well tonight I bought some SVE Projector head lights. It wasn't on my list up above but I ran across them and ordered a full set of 4.
Brad I can show you some neat tricks the pro's use on the interior and exterior detailing. You may find it easy and time saving. Just let me know.
My interior.....I want to replace the gauges and do some custom trim and door panels. As well as recover those seats.

Eignub.....I'm great busy as always. On top of it all the wife broke her ankle ...2 bones and tore some ligaments. So she's been a couch potato for 3 weeks and has about 4 more weeks to go.
So not much time here for me....plus the house is tore up from some remodeling we started.

Yeah, definitely! We can plan something in the spring.

That's right, you can do those custom overlays for the dash trim and stuff, can't you? And those headlights should look cool!

Yeah! I recommend the grey engine turned ES type dash trim. That looks so awesome. Carbon fiber pretty much looks just like it though.

For you, not for me. I don't have anywhere to put them, haha. Have you decided on a kit for covering your seats? There're a lot of nice ones out there.

I just keep watching videos on how to wash and detail properly. I'm really looking forward to the spring! And we might get our taxes done way earlier this year than last year!

I just wish I could string together 4 hours or so to go out and work on the car. I'd really love to have the LEDs and power windows/locks/mirrors already installed by the time spring comes, so I don't have to do it later. How is Stacey doing?

Where and what set of seat covers did you get?
Can't remember.
She's doing better. She has a long ways to go tho. Another 4 weeks with no weight on that leg making a total of 7 weeks. Then after these for weeks we will know how much longer she will be laid up.

what type of dome lights do you guys have, if you have the chrome one with map lights; try using an smd9 LED bulb in place of the 921 bulb, it really lights up the interior. I haven't tried to find the bulb for the little square ones, it may be the same as the chrome one.
when I get some time I'm going to see if the SN95 style dome fits the connector in the fox headliner; then I wont need the new lense.
I've finally conceded; I've been scouring the net for pre-made cut to length driveshaft's off & on, I cant seem to find anyone who offers them. I can only hope to see the guy again. I'd like an aluminum one. there's plenty of people who offer the mustang drive shaft's, or will shorten yours to length, but not different length pre-made shafts.
