| I am back (on the site at least). I knew it would only be a matter of time. I want an other f/z so bad i can taste it. Since the burning of my old fairmont, i went through a 2006 scion xa, totalled that, then got a 2001 cherokee sport and a 95 crown vic. While i love the jeep and have no intentions of getting rid of it, the vic just isnt satisfying my boat car love and I keep hunting for fairmonts again. I think seeing this beautiful wagon the other day was what finally made me give in to the urge. Anyone in arizona got a lead on a good f/z? | |

| Probably since we dont have many issues with rust on these old steel cars. Still getting harder to find though, when i still had mine I would see one pop up for sale about every other day, but now i cant find any. not giving up yet though. | |

| Its going good, started going back to school a couple years ago. Renting a house instead of an apartment now. The girl is good, she will be starting school this fall. I was hoping for a coupe, but all im finding is 4dr sedans. | |

| man time flies fast, she'll be driving you around before you know it, and if she gets a rice burner, you'll have to show her the proper way to do handbrake turns!
Ill keep me eyes peeled for a coupe, but I think the best deals are in Tucson.
everyone watches those damned shows here and think their junk is worth loads of cash.

| Yep, but i dont know how much longer i wanna wait. There is a 4dr sedan supposedly with only about 60k original miles for only 1300 that im thinking about snagging.
What to do with my 95 crown vic though once i get another fairmont... anyone got experience with a 4.6l 2v swap? lol jk | |

| actually, it's not that bad of a swap, the early 4.6 is not as powerful as a 5.0,and their are other differences, but they are a lot torquier. the AJE crossmember fits the engine into the car like an oyster in a shell. you will need the hydroboost system from the mustang though. have you spoken to the seller yet? remember all prices are negotiable. if you like we have an F150 with a chrome bumper for this one, not like the painted one you had on the last one! I think it may have running boards also. in fact I know whre a 5.4 litre truck engine is, HMMMMMMM............. oh; you will need a decent hammer......... | |

| yeah, ive been talking to the seller, if its not gone by the beginning of february its probably gonna be mine. i probably wont do the swap just cause i dont have the time or money right now, but what else would i need? would i use the computer/wiring from the crown vic? if i cant get like 8 or 900 for the vic, i might just pull the engine and save it. you got an extra chrome f/z bumper? got a bit confused after you brought up the f150. | |

| run the dammed thing the way it is till you can have everything set-up for the type of swap you want to do, if you even want to do it. There's no sense having it just sit around when you could be putting butt-time in the frt seat. I liked the 5.0 swap and the 4.6 swap, both have pro's & cons; however it is nice to have an overdrive transmission. | |

| Oh i will. I always wanted to keep the 200 anyways, and it looks like classic inlines has come out with even more stuff since ive been gone. The 4.6 would be cheaper to get more power, but more work then i can do right now anyways. I got more pics from the guy selling the 4dr today, makes me want it even more | |

| yeah; they've gone crazy/wild with the resurrection of the 6 banger parts recently. what color is this new girl-friend, blue?? we had a service advisor who's wife couldn't stand his 66 BUICK WILDCAT, so I printed a sign for the back window that said "the other Woman" he thought it was funny and laughed and she just barely missed slapping his face!!!! she had to sit in the seat a certain way so it wouldn't wrinkle the material in the seat ha ha!!! I worked on a like-new 78 F150 the other day, 6 banger, 3 on the tree, looks better than new. i'm just going to suppose he gets his body/trim parts from LMC. I never met the guy, he just says fix-it & leaves. I wish you all the luck you can have with the new lady in your life, but if I were you; I'd change the alternator as soon as I got it home!!! | |

| yep, i had done it before on my original 4dr, so no issue with that. im assuming the interior plastics are gonna be shot, i asked him for a pic of the dash. anyone got any good leads on the plastics? I know the dash can come right out of a fox mustang, did that swap before, but the other plastics are almost always gone here in the arizona sun. | |

| that's a nice looking car. wasn't there a dash pad that came from the early mustangs that fit these cars. back when the site was really active, I remember people using them....that would be nice if you could sell the crown vic and have some cash left over. | |

| here it is, pictures are worth a thousand words. 95 crown vic, 208k miles, does have cel for p0430 (catalyst ineffciency, either the o2 sensor or catalytic converter bad), bit of a dent on the trunk lid, missing drivers side turn signal and marker light lense, paint peeling on the roof. starts and drives fine. does leak oil, the guy we got it from said it needs an oil pan gasket, but its too much work to put a new one in so we just been topping it off. maya was telling my dad (dropping off the kid while we were at work) iit was making a strange sound today, he was thinking power steering, but she couldnt get it to make the sound while there, and i havent heard it myself since i dont drive it. | |
