There are a couple of guys here on the site with wagons, they came out pretty well, dont hear from them any more.
I am truly happy for you.
i am also green with envy.
i bought an 83 Fairmont Futura box top in the early part of 2012. i paid a good whack for it, i got it from an old lady in Tucson, she had to stop driving. new tires, windshield, rack, cats pwr strg pump and bag of receipts, great body & interior. We drove it home on this cold cloudy day, only to find the rain stopped and the sun pierced thru the clouds, like a thief in the dark. parked it up in the front of the house, and for some reason, the old dear went rabid.
After a prolonged heated debate, it was in my interest to release the car back into the wild. You can’t argue with my wife, she is a counselor.
Never mind I spent stupid money to procure a car that I’ll have to take a beating on when it goes.
I ended up selling it a girl at work, i told her what i wanted, she didn’t even cough or seem to choke, she drives the hell out of it, takes it to Tucson regularly, changes the oil regularly. She loves it, and is always telling me how she loves it; she even put new shocks on it 2 wks ago. DAMN!!!!!
Don’t get me wrong, she is a nice lady, (not the lady, well the lady too, they are both nice) but i feel i was bamboozled sometimes, because my wife & her are friends….HMMM.
I keep printing out stuff on the workshop printer like “i could have had a V-8”, “when i grow up I’m gonna have a 4.6” “the other woman”, “the lady in white” etc.
The moral of the story is: don’t act like you’re too happy with it.
Here’s a few tips:
Try not to smile and look too content,
Don’s say things like:
“I really hate to butcher this bitch”
“I’m gonna try to twist the front end off this bitch”
“man what a nice car”
Truly; i hope you enjoy it you %^$#* lucky j _)(*&^%$#!@#, and I hope your coffee goes cold while you are admiring your latest aquisition!!!!
JEALOUS; NOT ME!!!
