Decided to use drive the Fairmont to lunch as the weekend is approaching, its been cold all week, and a lot of weird things are going on with the big flies and bees flying around looking like they are stoned, coyotes wandering round the neighborhood in the early mornings, I even saw a skunk a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway I was heading over to grab some grub when I turned the heater on to vent, it appeared that a bunch of bees were flying out of the vents, I couldn’t shut the car down quick enough and un-ass it, nearly had the seat belt off and out the door before I realized the bees weren’t moving, it turned out it was the heater vent foam!
I had been moaning about no heated back glass, so now I have a substantially reduced flow from the heater & defroster to match, (and a mess to clean-up). I was going to try to duct tape it for now but I can’t even see it.
When it gets warmer here, I suppose I could drop the column, swing the dash over and try to fit a new foam piece to the plenum. It’s just poor timing.

yeah, it was definitly an eye opener. we have has some pretty cold weather here lately, not only is it affecting the car but me too. i dont want to drive it if there is a chance of frost, we have to be at work at 7 am, or a bit sooner, dont want to take any chances, but it does look cool with the steam coming from the exhaust when it's warming up.
