Hello all. Ive been a member for a few months but this is my first post. I am restoring a 79 boxtop Zephyr for a daily driver. I have built many mustangs and figured its time for something different. My car is an original 302/C4 car. It has factory bucket seats and a floor shifter which I hadnt seen before on an auto. I bought it with 76,000 miles. I thought it was nice but after removing the fenders and doors I realized the structure of the car was totally gone. So my quick build has now turned into a restoration due too so much rust. I bought a 91 mustang to use as a donor car for alot of the parts. It now has a roller 306, 11:1 compression, AFR 165 heads, custom Buddy Rawls cam, and a cut, ported, and welded explorer intake done by myself. The C4 is gone and the car now has a TKO 600 tremec in it. I am having an aluminum F150 driveshaft shortened and balanced as we speak to finish off the drivetrain. The car went from white to 2007 Light Tundra Metallic off a lincoln. Now im ready to tackle wiring the PCM and fuel injection along with finishing up the fuel system. Im trying to figure out what direction to go with the interior also. I am excited to learn more about these cars and also share some tricks I have found during my build. Im not computer savvy so I will try to figure out how to post pics. I have at least a hundred photos of the build so far if anyone interested. Anyway, hope to chat with some of you. merry christmas

Sounds like an awesome project! I went with EFI in mine, so I may be able to help if you need any tips. Sounds like you know your way around a car though! Looking forward to seeing pics!

Ive looked over your build thread. It looks like youve got it figured out. Ive seen pictures of your car for some time now by just googling "pics of Zephyrs". Its cool to sort of meet you. I think your Z is one of the most tastefully done that ive seen. I am not quite as patient as you though. I like the way you have basically built your whole car with factory ford parts from different vehicles. I however was too impatient to do much trial and error. I relied a little more on the aftermarket world and also had to do some fabricating along the way. I am also trying to get the car built as quickly as possible without compromising quality and safety since I will be putting about 20,000 miles a year on this thing. My "budget" was pretty much blown in the first few months of the build. Since then ive been selling off my other projects to finance this build.

Haha, I'd hardly say I'm patient. Just had little choice but to go back and solve problems, haha. Then you have limitations with time and money. It's taught me the lesson I should do things right the first time though! So, you're on the right track! I hear you about the budget thing too.

And thanks for the kind words too! It made my day.
