| There are a couple of difficulties with the Mark VII/Mustang SVO rear if you want to go to braided stainless brake hoses. A few companies do offer kits that include all 4 hoses for the SVO, BUT that's only good if you have the SVO front brakes too, which I don't. I haven't found the rear hoses available by themselves. SO, what I did was order some universal hoses from Russell. They have a 10mm banjo for the VII/SVO caliper on one end and -3AN fitting on the other. You will also need a female 3/8" to male -3AN adaptor if you go this route. I decided it would be a good idea to use a mounting bracket to hold the hose in place so it's not just floating there. What I did was, take the original bracket off the old hose (blue arrow) and then I bolted a front brake hose bracket off a Fox Mustang (green arrow) to it and used the factory clip to attach the adaptor to it, making a nice solid base to attach the hose to. Now, there's one more problem. No one makes a stand alone braided stainless hose for going between the body and axle housing other than the '86-95 8.8 dual exhaust hose. This hose has a banjo fitting on the body end, which F/Zs don't have. What you need to do is find someone parting out an '86-95 V8 Mustang and get this required adaptor from them. The adaptor does not exist in the aftermarket or the parts store, or even the freakin' dealer. This is the only way I've found to get one. You'll notice in the pic, it's the blue arrow. At the bottom is the braided hose, and at the top is a regular 3/8" brake line. I also had to run an extension to the body line to the middle of the car where the hose attaches, as opposed to the passenger side where the factory line comes out of the floor. AND I had to put new lines on the housing because the new hose's T-block didn't line up with where the old lines came in. That might have just been my lines, but I thought I would mention it anyway just in case. So, you ask was it worth it? Not really. The pedal feel is not as much improved as I would have hoped. My old hoses at the calipers did need replacing anyway though. | |

| VERY informative. don't forget that the brakes on the sn95's were a bit spongy straight out of the box due to the dual diagrams. does it stop well? | |
