does anyone know if the kick down set ups are the same for carburetors and efi. i just picked up a 1980 mustang that has an aod, its toast, but rebuildable. i was wondering if the kick down were the same, it looked at a glance that the carb set-up has a fixed rod linkage while the injected models use a cable set-up.

i havent heard it run because the kid i got it from put a radio and amp in the car and blew a bunch of fuses looking for the right wires!!!!
anyway why look a gift horse in the mouth!!
