Finally the wagon is fun to drive lol. Just in case you forgot from my last thread, I bought a 87 T-Bird and stripped the engine out of it, put an H.O cam in it, and E7 heads. I got a Weiand intake with the car and I had a set of MAC shorty headers laying around. All topped with a stock 4 barrel carb from a Mustang(85? maybe) that I paid $1.45 for(Large coffee) lol. I backed that with a T5, with a stock clutch(I think...) and a short throw shifter. I also put in a stock Mustang H-Pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and 2.5" stainless tailpipes, not that you can see them lol.

My car is a 3.3L and I did the swap without changing the cross member. I used 79 F150 engine mounts and I did have to modify my tranny cross member to move it back half an inch. I also had the Foxbody oil pan already with the engine. I cut the K member at the appropriate places, as seem in the pictures, and notched the engine mount holes up a bit so I couldhave room to movethe mounts while dropping the engine in, I found last time it was real tight to fit the engine into place.

I know its not perfect, or normal, but I built it for me, and I think it looks great. Cool It was all done in a weekend, from 10am Friday to Sunday at 11pm when it first fired up. All done by myself, with the help of my Dad and brother. All the paint was shot with a12$ spray gun, using DupliColor's paint.

Thanks for looking. Sorry thepictures are so big, I made them smaller on photo bucket but for some reason they are big on here...

personally i dont give a damn what other people say about my heap, so believe me buddy, you have absolutly nothing to be ashamed about ot apologise for. i must admire you attention to detail under the hood.
i like to see a stunning example of someone attaining thier dreams, judging by the way you have this baby dressed up, you certainly love your car.
i kinda like the green under the hood, i is a real clash of of color!!!
are you aware that john deer does the flat black paint that that's made just for bad-assed mont-wagons with super cool wheels!!!!
good work.

Thanks alot guys! I have just been working on the bugs for the last few days. I have a small oil leak which sucks, I think its from my oil pan plug.... I also have a small exhaust leak becuase from the H-pip where it bolts up to the headers, not a big deal I have just been enjoying the car to much to fuck with it lol.

The car is very fast now lol, I gave a sport bike a run for his money yesterday Very Happy

Anyone else have a standard in theirs? If so how stiff is your clutch?, mine just seems really stiff, but maybe thats how it should be and I have just driven cars with wimpy clutches...

hey...have a look in the jegs catalog for part#865-9859k @ the modular air intake system, dual snorkel page 217z of the catalog. i dont see a date on it, so i put the part # on it, so i put the part # for you to research on the online catalog.

or you could go "retro" find yourself an 80's style aluminum air filter housing from a V-8, they are still around, try yo find another air filter snorkel, to match the snorkel you have, (whether its metal or aluminum) cut a hole into the housing and rivet the new snorkel onto the housing. you can polish up the aluminum housing pretty well, these are what the H.O. used back in the day. loads of people were copying this style for quite a while.
if you cant find an aluminum housing steel will do with a nice paint job.....
good luck, later jb
