| I keep finding conflicting information between what i read. How can i tell if i have a C4 or C5 transmission? | |

| I believe the best way to tell is by the shape of the trans pan, they all have a different shape. Sorry that I can't tell you which has what shape, I don't have that info handy at the moment. I also think it may be cast into the tailshaft, but I'm not 100% on that. | |

| If you have an inline six in a late fox body then the C5 will have a low-mount starter. I think they're physically identical on the outside. | |
