| Don't know about the rest of you but I've been super busy with work. Traveling a lot...been gone all or part of the last 6 weeks. Momma ain't too happy either. Next week I start moving kids to college. One per week for next three weeks! With three in college I'm glad they all start on different weeks. The Fairmont is sitting idle right now. I did get to do some fun stuff on my oldest son's stang though. We completed a total cooling system overhaul and upgrade. High performance water pump, silicone hoses, Be Cool radiator, electric fan with thermostat...took a day to do. Also been proving to my middle son I have a sense of humor...I'm helping him with his Z28. What a pain to work on! Anyway, he'll have an awesome ride when we're done. He bought a complete top end. Rated for 390 rwhp in his car. Now I HAVE to build that 351!!! What are you up to? Don | |

| Yeah Don, I've been busy as hell too, hardly touched the Super Zeph at all last couple weeks. That changes today, think I'm gonna tackle the engine bay and try to get it cleaned up a bit. Unfortunately because of the rust issues I have with the roof and my plan to do a targa top, it won't be ready in time for the bash, but this doesn't mean I won't be there without an F/Z! I've got a line on a nice little red wagon, if I get it I'm gonna dress it up like a fire chief car, with a red cherry light and some appropriate decals. | |

| Been super busy as well, plus having the car fund next to empty doesn't help any either. But that doesn't mean my brain hasn't been working on what I would like to do to my Zephyr!!!! I think once pay day is here I'm gunna hit the auto supply and get some new brakes (rotors and calipers) and new struts. Figured the shocks can wait another few more weeks. Then after that I'm gunna start on the body or interior....haven't decided yet. | |

Don For god's sake, shut that shit off! Don't you know you're wasting fuel?!? - detroitiron2000 wrote:

Don Make sure your boy watches his coolant level. I remember reading somewhere that, while silicone hoses have better temperature resistance, they are more porous than rubber hoses, so the coolant can disappear from your cooing system with no leaks. Later, Mike. | |

| Thanks for the heads up on the hoses. He just asked me lasy evening why his level dropped a bit. I guessed at continued burping of the system but maybe it's the hoses. I'll let him know to keep watch. ALso, shut down the Fairmont. Wasn't aware I'd be wasting gas | |
