need parts and driver mods

need some help guys. need a corner left side tailight. a speedo cable and driver mod. turns out i was right about it being me that has been keeping the car slow. buddy took it out tonite with me and i let him make a pass, i ran 8.1with a 1.7 60ft @86mph. he ran a 7.42 at 95mph, on his first pass with the car, and a lousy 1.79 60ft. it has a good amount left in it im sure. so ya anyway i used to drive the shit out out of my old 95gt. but i cant drive as well now that i have to take all these pills. at least thats my excuse because today after alot of practice i couldnt even run a 7, any advice?

Give yourself some time. Figure out what your buddy is doing different then you....maybe go for a ride with him and watch everthing he does.
Its kinda hard to help without beening there as it all happens.

its my shifting man, specifically my 2-3rd shift. i dont know, maybe i need a different shifter, i use to be fine with a steeda tri-ax but now i huve a hurst shifter because i thought it would be old school. but maybe its time for a change back

Could be, is the throw a lot different ?

yup i mean is has to be if i was good with one and bad with this hurst.

Not really, just wonder if you need one with a short throw. Less swing would help any guy out.
