| It sure has been quiet around here recently, where is everyone? I've been traveling on business (Washington, DC and Ft Myers, FL) and yesterday and today down with the flu...and it's like 50 out there today! So post up and let us know what you're doing! Don | |

| I'm still around! I work in the patch up here in Alberta and I work 15 on, 6 off. Between that and trying to come up with cool stuff to do for the bash, I'm pretty busy, but I get on as much as I can. | |

| I'm busy being annoyed that my car isn't done. I'm tired of working on it, and I just want it to be freakin' done already.
I pretty much check the forum every day, but, until the freakin' car is freakin' done, I probably won't be starting too many new threads.
I thought I was gonna have a used Evolution Motorsport Tri-link and Watts link rear for like eight hundred bucks, but it looks like the guy is gonna sell the car it's on instead. Shit. It woulda been pretty cool to see the ol' 'Mont picking up the inside front tire in the corners.
Later, Mike. | |

| I know how you feel. I"m feeling kind of overwhelmed with everything I have to do on my car to just drive it this summer. I want to paint everything before I put it on but it's too darn cold to paint so everything is just sitting. Then when the weather turns warm I'll be all elbows and a-hole trying to get it all done and then BAM it'll be September. UGH! I have been doing some things that can be done inside like painting the calipers and prepping some interior parts for installation. I also pulled the motor/tranny combo one weekend in early Feb that was unusually warm. But that's about it. Well, I'm off to clean around the car so when I can lay on the concrete for more than 20 minutes I can get the rear axle install completed...oh yeah, after cleaning and painting it. Don | |

| I've been busy getting the new 8.8 ready to install. It's all done now and all the other rear suspension parts are also ready to go in as well. Just waiting for the weather to warm up a little before I start taking the old stuff out. I've had enough of the noise and smell of that friggin' Kerosene heater. I think I got "drain bramage" from it. | |

| ive been checking the board every day for traffic, but nothing.
im still collecting suspension parts to get every thing switched over to coilovers, minitubs and eventually more motor.
the switch to a 250 pill is coming sometime around august.im changing the suspension to get alot more adjustability and the ability to keep the front end down a little bit.the wheelies look awesome, but dont make it go faster. i had a front tire seperate last saturday;but with bills needing to be payed first,i couldnt buy a replacement yet.damn responsibility!!!!

| I check in as much as possible...I been working 50 hrs a week at my full time job and another 30 hrs for my own business, doing body work on a friends truck, getting parts rounded up for my Futura, fixing my other daily driver car, snow blowing snow for 3 hrs everytime it snows, getting tax shit ready for myself and the business, researching the web for more info on the Futura, helping Dad get his new 4 link rear suspention ready to go in his '50 pickup, unfreeze frozen pipes, clean house, do laundry, eat a meal or two here and there, meet with new customers, try to watch a cool TV show here and there, sleep an hr or two, pimp on some ladies here or there, plan the F/Z Bash, research the web for the Bash, keep up on my web pages for updates, do the Moderator thing on another web site, help out many people with there F/Z projects, shoot the shit with Big Block Cowboy, spend time with family and friends, and drink some great beer ! So I hope to be driving my Futura this year after 4 years of not being able to. | |

| well i will say this, racing lately has been hard due to 2 things.
im trying to be strong and not let my past effect me, but that damn brethalizer on the car is screwing up my timing and concentration one my way to the tree. it is simply making racing not fun. and that just kills my love for the sport.

| ^ Are you being serious???
I got some 2x3 tubing for my SFC's today. I will be starting them this weekend hopefully. Once hey are done I will be pulling the engine and starting to smooth out the engine bay, should be fun lol.
I'm currently saving for my heads but once I buy them I will be getting my rear end narrowed and buying a spool and axels, so the car will atleast be mobile again, and not likely to brake another axel.

What's your plan for installing the tubing? I am planning on using the 2x3 from the seat support back, into the rear subframe all the way back to the lower control arm bolt. I'm intending to drill a hole and put in a piece of pipe for the bolt, then use a very long bolt. I will also cut/weld the front end of the 2x3 to make it 2x2, and then use 2x2 for the part in front of the seat support, so that there isn't interference with pedal operation. Is this your plan, too?

| Cash flow is a little tight right now....my daughter who lives with her mother told me she's sick of the crap that goes on at her mothers house and told me she wants to come live with me...so most of my money is tied up in attourney fees. I still have to fabricate my headers. While I've been waiting to scrape a little cash together, I decided to ditch the nice shiny wheels( centerline autodrags ) in favor for painted steelies...I'm building a sleeper, remember? In the meantime I also picked up an Edelbrock nitrous kit....good for an extra 250 H.P.....can't wait to fire this thing up!!! | |

| Thanks Don! My daughter is a good girl. It sucks the laws have changed here in Ohio. Even at 12yrs old, she isn't allowed to make the decision of where she wants to live, no matter on how her living conditions are. The courts have to decide. My daughter just told me tonight that she caught her buying cigarettes with her child support card....that pisses me off! | |

| I don't even know how to react to that! I am fortunate. Just stay tuned in and keep some balance in your daughter's life, sound slike she'll need it! And my hat off to you for being there.

| No matter what, I can't loose. Even if I don't get custody, I can get joint, or shared custody. Right now, on paper, I don't have shit for any kind of parental rights. ( She took the house payment money and the bank started it's foreclosure proceedings ) I had to come up with money and save the house, which in turn left me flat broke. I had no money for a lawyer, hell, I didn't even have a running car at that time. I'm just rambling.... Well, I just got the papers yesterday from the courts....she should be quite happy when she gets her papers on Monday or Tuesday.....she has no idea what I've been up to! | |
