Here's my Futura. I call it Great White (license plate is GR8 WHT) because it came from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Best pic I have until the spring LOL.

Thanks for the responses. Yep, it's a molded on cowl. I don't know of any fiberglass hoods that are street weight and high quality. There are several race weight items out there. Best I can tell, steel hoods with cowls or scoops are our only options.

Hey all;

Thanks for the replies!

I'll post pics when I get back from Mexico...here on business and I don't have any other pics on my work PC.

It's not an efi...I didn't want to deal with the electrical / electronics and frankly, building the carbed motor is a bit less expensive and with two in college and two on their way I need to stay low cost. I am running a hotter cam and the heads (E7s) have been ported on the exhaust side. Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with a Holley 650. I just put in a bid on some GT40 heads as a low cost upgrade.

I'm really bummed about the winter BUT it'll let me get my rather extensive list of parts on the car and finish up the tranny rebuild.

I have the following to put on it:

> 93 GT front suspension and Lincoln brakes
> custom bumpers (I found a set of plain bumpers and had them narrowed after cutting a custom opening for Cobra style oil cooler I installed)
> new Corbeaus GTS seats for the front (rear seat will be reupholstered to match the Corbeaus)
> new headliner material (bought extra material that matches my Corbeaus)
> custom gauge panel (modified by me rabbit )
> materials for custom door panels
> custom trunk floor and inner panels (modified by me rabbit )
> custom grille (modified by me rabbit )
> Fidanza aluminum flywheel
> '88 Tbird Turbo Coupe 8.8 with discs and 3.55 gears
> 93 GT front sway bar and 93 Cobra rear sway bar
> I'm sure there are more parts but I can't remember lol!

Future plans are for dual quad intake, custom center console, custom air dam with splitter.

Glad to see everyone migrating over!

how cheap are you getting those gt40 heads? i really wouldnt bother spending the money on them vs a set of ported e7's. now if they are gt40p's i would for sure.

get some underdrive pulleys or an electric fan and that will help more IMHO. and get those gears installed. that will make ALL the difference.

good luck to yeah, have you been on any texas sites? your screenname seems to ring a bell.

I got back form Mexico just before Thanksgiving and I can't find my darn pics!

Anyway...I have the motor pulled and am getting ready to put in the "k" member then on to the rear AFTER I use the cool rust removing tips you guys posted.

I'll keep looking for the pics.

And as for the heads, I didn't win the auction but now I'm bidding on some ported GT40p's.
